Ingredients

2 ounces bourbon of choice
1 ounce Bee in Your Bonnet Lemon Drop Premium Flavoring Syrup
2 tbsp sugar
2 lemons
Club soda or carbonated water
Ice, divided

Directions:

With a small grater, zest one lemon. Slice zested lemon into wedges. Set wedges aside. Slice second lemon into rounds.

In a small bowl, sift together sugar and lemon zest. Pour sugar mixture onto small plate, evenly covering the bottom.

Prepare glass by running one lemon wedge around the rim. Discard wedge. Rim glass with sugar and lemon zest mixture. Fill glass with ice.

In a cocktail shaker, combine ice, Lemon Drop syrup, and bourbon. Shake to combine. Strain mixture into prepared glass. Top with club soda. Stir gently to combine and garnish with lemon slice. Serve immediately.
